Frequently Asked Questions

Is my photo library safe?

Yes. All OCR and AI processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Your screenshots never leave your phone.

Why does indexing take time?

ScreenSort reads and processes each screenshot individually using OCR. For large libraries (1,000+ screenshots), initial indexing may take 5–15 minutes in the background.

How many searches do I get for free?

The free plan includes 20 searches per day. The count resets at midnight local time. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited searches.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. ScreenSort works completely offline. All processing, search, and categorization runs locally on your device with no internet connection required.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open ScreenSort, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ScreenSort. You can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

Search results are inaccurate. What can I do?

OCR accuracy depends on image quality. Try searching with different keywords. Low-resolution or blurry screenshots may not be recognized perfectly.

Which iOS version is required?

ScreenSort requires iOS 16.0 or later. For best performance, we recommend iOS 17 or later with an iPhone XS or newer.

Can I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your ScreenSort purchase to submit a refund request.

What languages does OCR support?

ScreenSort supports 20+ languages including English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, and more.

Getting Started

1

Grant Photo Access

When prompted, allow ScreenSort to access your photo library. This is required to read and index your screenshots. You can choose "Full Access" or "Selected Photos".

2

Wait for Indexing

ScreenSort will automatically begin processing your screenshots in the background. You'll see a progress indicator. For large libraries, this may take several minutes.

3

Search Anything

Tap the search bar and type any keyword — a name, a code snippet, a price, a URL. ScreenSort will find all screenshots containing that text instantly.

4

Browse by Category

Switch to the Categories tab to browse screenshots organized by type: Code, Social Media, Shopping, Documents, and more. Categories update automatically as new screenshots are added.
