1. Overview

ScreenSort ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the ScreenSort iOS application.

ScreenSort is designed to work entirely on your device. The core features — screenshot indexing, OCR text recognition, AI categorization, and search — all run locally using Apple's on-device frameworks. No screenshot content is ever sent to external servers.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data, and only what is strictly necessary:

• Purchase information: Managed entirely by Apple App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment details.
• Subscription status: A token indicating whether you have an active premium subscription, stored locally on your device.
• App preferences: Settings such as selected categories and search history, stored only on your device via UserDefaults.

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your photo library contents or screenshot images
• The text extracted from your screenshots
• Your location data
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes

3. On-Device Processing

All AI features in ScreenSort run entirely on your device using Apple's native frameworks:

• OCR (Text Recognition): Apple Vision Framework — runs locally, no internet required
• Image Classification: Core ML — models are bundled with the app
• Search Index: SQLite FTS5 — stored in your app's local sandbox
• Category Detection: On-device classifiers — never leaves your device

This architecture means ScreenSort works completely offline. Your screenshots are analyzed, indexed, and searched without ever leaving your device.

4. Photo Library Access

ScreenSort requests access to your photo library to read and index your screenshots. This permission is used solely to:

• Read screenshot images from your photo library
• Display thumbnails and full images within the app
• Extract and index text content for search functionality

We do not modify, delete, upload, or share any photos from your library. You can revoke photo library access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy > Photos.

5. Purchases & Subscriptions

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status verification. RevenueCat may receive anonymous purchase tokens to validate subscription entitlements.

RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment transactions.

We do not have access to your credit card information or billing details at any time.

6. Analytics

ScreenSort does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, or similar services). We do not track user behavior, screen flows, or usage patterns.

Apple may collect aggregated, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics through App Store Connect if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with Apple. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is not accessible to us in identifiable form.

7. Children's Privacy

ScreenSort is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of ScreenSort after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
